If you make less than a certain amount of money (each drug company has a different limit), then you can get your medication 100% FREE! It's important that you use this official link http://www.rxassist.org/ because there are companies out there who will change you money for what you can get for free. RX Assist has a complete list of drug companies' patient assistance programs. All you do is find the meds you are taking and fill out one form. All of the other forms will print out for you so you won't have to do a lot of writing. Just take the printed forms to your doctor. You will need proof of income when you mail the form (each company will tell you what they need) and that's it. Some companies will ship directly to you whereas others, will ship to your doctor. I've been doing this for my husband for 2 years and for myself for a year. It has saved us thousands of dollars. You can even qualify if you're on Medicare if you make less than a certain amount of money.

For the US, here are the guidelines:

In most cases, the drug company will use the 200% poverty limit. A few drug companies use 250% or 300%.
