The Many Symptoms of Fibromyalgia

(and how to relieve them)

TMJ

Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction and its Relationship to the Fibromyalgia Patient.

There is some good information here.  Also, you may want to try purchasing a Shock Doctor mouth guard.  The cost ~ $20 and you can get them in a sporting goods store. Because of the high degree of cushioning and shock absorption, they provide relief to people with bruxism (grinding your teeth while you sleep).

Dry Eyes

There are tiny plugs that can be painlessly inserted into the drainage ducts in the corner of the eyes that will allow more of the eye's natural moisture to accumulate.  For information about the procedure, contact an Ophthalmologist.

Sleep Disturbances

This is a core problem in fibromyalgia and it will be covered in more depth on the sleep page

Note:  We will be constantly adding to this list.  Your suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Send your suggestions to cheryl@fibrodoc.org
